An Extraordinary Hotel Experience
A few years ago, I traveled to Los Angeles for a meeting. I checked into a nice hotel in the night.
Everything went smoothly until I opened the door of the room I’d been assigned. A man came to the door in his pajamas with a toothbrush in his mouth. Fortunately, he was a friend of mine, in town for the same meeting.
We were both "SURPRISED" to see each other in this way.
I told him that this would be a mistake made by the hotel desk. I went back to the hotel desk and told the lady at the desk that someone had occupied the room. She apologized to me and upgraded my room. After the meeting, I checked out of the hotel. I found that the hotel did not charge both rooms. It was an extraordinary experience, but I was lucky. I could not imagine what might have had happened if the guest in the room had been not a friend. It was a close call.
